Vice President of Barcelona, Josep Bartomeu, asserted, his team came all the way to Wembley only for one purpose, namely to win the Champions League. Victory is a price to die for "Azulgrana".
Barca will face the third final in five years. They will face the same opponents in 2009, namely Manchester United (MU). The final will take place at Wembley Stadium, London, Saturday or Sunday (5/29/2011) early morning hrs.
"Our team did not come here (London) just to play in the final. We came to win!" Bartomeu firmly on Barca's official website.
"Barca are very competitive. For years they have shown that they have the mentality to win. Barca ambitious as ever," continued Bartomeu.
"This team has won everything. In fact, they only lost a few games in recent years. But, now, before this final fight, there is a maximum focus from the team."
This is not the first final at Wembley Barca. In 1992 then, Barca are also competing in the same place against Sampdoria. At that time, Pep Guardiola is still playing and his colleagues successfully come out as champions.
"I believe that experience will be useful. The victory that changed the history of the club. The history of European clubs are built around the trophy they have won and this (Champions League) is the largest of all the trophies."
"If we can win this, then we will make a bigger club history. Our ultimate goal is the league title (BBVA) and this (Champions League) is an extra gift for us," due diligence.
