
Hurricane tornado Destroyed Part of the City of Joplin, Missouri, United States. At least 30 people were the resource persons reported killed.Missouri Governor Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency and warned there will be the next storm, as reported by the BBC page, Monday, May 23, 2011.
An eyewitness, a photographer from the Springfield News-Leader newspaper, John Miller said the damage the city severely damaged. "The buildings damaged and destroyed," he said. Firefighters and health workers trying to rescue victims trapped in damaged buildings.
Various public facilities such as electricity and phone went dead. Ambulances lined the streets to immediately help the victims still trapped in the building market super Walmart.
Meanwhile, hospitals in Joplin also were damaged. The windows of the hospital was flying, as a result of medical devices thrown out as far as 70 kilometers.
United States President Barack Obama who was on his way toward the Republic of Ireland to send condolence messages. "Me and Michelle convey our families deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in tornadoes and bad weather which hit Joplin," he said in a statement.
